Our Story
Welcome to St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, the first Syro Malabar Mission in Canada under the St. Thomas Diocese, Chicago. Since our inauguration by Mar Jacob Angadiath on October 7, 2012, in Edmonton, we have grown to include 560 registered families, with new members joining us each week. Our community gathers daily to celebrate the Holy Qurbana (Mass), participate in catechism, and engage in vibrant social and cultural activities. We joyfully celebrate all major feasts, including Christmas, Easter, and the feast of our Patroness, St. Alphonsa, as well as hosting family gatherings and picnics to strengthen our bonds. We look forward to expanding our activities and community spirit in the future!
